• Role selection (Admin or Sleeper)

Sleep Data:

• Timestamps of sleep check responses
• Response status (awake or no response)
• Optional notes you add to entries

Pairing Information:

• Pairing codes (temporary, expire after 15 minutes)
• Links between Admin and Sleeper accounts

How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: To create and secure your account
• Core Functionality: To track and display sleep patterns
• Syncing: To share sleep data between linked Admin and Sleeper accounts
• Metrics: To calculate and display sleep statistics

Data Sharing

Your sleep data is shared only with:

• Linked accounts: If you are a Sleeper, your linked Admin can view your sleep data. This is the core feature of the app.
• No third parties: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore)
• All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS
• Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication
• We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data

Data Retention

• Your account data is retained as long as your account is active
• Sleep logs are retained until you delete them or delete your account
• Pairing codes automatically expire and are deleted after 15 minutes

Your Rights and Choices

• Access: View your sleep data anytime in the app
• Export: Export your sleep logs as CSV files
• Delete: Clear your local logs from the app settings
• Unlink: Disconnect from an Admin at any time by switching roles
• Account Deletion: Contact us to request complete account deletion

Children's Privacy

ZZZCheck may be used by parents to monitor children's sleep patterns. In such cases:

• The parent (Admin) is responsible for their child's account
• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent
• Parents can view, export, or delete their child's sleep data at any time

Push Notifications

The app uses local push notifications to prompt sleep checks. These notifications:

• Are generated locally on your device
• Do not transmit data to external servers
• Can be disabled in your device settings

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
